'My Memory of the Temple' started as an earlier live performance, which was recorded to a vintage cell phone and then remixed to a 4-track cassette. This cassette then formed the basis of a semi-improvisational session, which was re-recorded to a 4-track Portastudio tape recorder and remixed live at a Winter Solstice festival performance. In addition to the manifestation of a past performance, trace emerges with a tinge of sadness: after many years of prolific performance and self-published releases, ‘This material is the last trace of music I made before succumbing to a period of ill health which included a serious ear infection and resulted in a spell of deafness.’
