about

Flo Wilson is a composer, producer and artist based in Auckland, New Zealand. In 2017, she graduated from Sonic Arts at Te Kōkī – New Zealand School of Music, receiving first-class honours for her custom-designed, multi-channel, spatial installations and performances.

Her interests in music and art stem from computer music, embodied performance, spatial design and immersive installation, exploring and the relationship we maintain to technology. She has exhibited and performed widely throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.

With this release, first published in 2017, Wilson deploys crunches and clicks alongside somatic sounds. Over the course of each composition these sonics dovetail, coalescing as austere structures, recalling releases from the likes of Raster Noton or Mille Plateaux.
